Default Rear brake squeak...pads?

I'm getting a squeaking from my rear brakes when coming to a stop. It usually happens after the bike starts to get warm. With 29k miles on the bike, should I change the pads and go from there, if so will I need to remove the rear wheel?

Inspect the pads, of course, to make sure they aren't worn, but if they still have meat left, I'd leave them. I think I went 50K on my first set of pads, so you may be getting there, but inspect them. If they just squeal with pad left, you can put some anti squeal stuff on the back of the pads or just live with it.

First make sure the caliper can move freely, if it is hanging up it will make the brakes squeal. If you take the pads and bevel the rear edge at a 45 degree angle that can also mitigate the problem. Hope this helps.

like he said & scuff up your pads to get rid of the shiny glaze.
