Easiest way to pull tranny
I am replacing my Revtech6 on my bad boy with a new one and was wandering if the shocks will have to come off to get to the tranny stud nuts or should I just remove the whole tranny plate with the tranny.
I could use a new belt while I am in there. Can I pull the swingarm back far enough by just removing the pivot bolt or does the bearing have to be dealt with?

On mine, I had to drop the front shock bolt on the right side. On the left side, I had to cut down an allen wrench to be able to get one of the bottom bolts off. On that same left side bolt, what I didn't realize was that I couldn't get the allen wrench on it with the inner primary installed. The thing is that when you reinstall the tranny, you cannot tighten down the mounting bolts until the inner primary is bolted to the engine then the tranny otherwise your primary/tranny will be out of alignment. The proper procedure would have been to install the inner primary, tighten it to the engine then the transmission and then tighten as many tranny mounting bolts as possible then remove the inner primary and tighten down the last bolt and then reinstall. So now I have to pull the primary again to tighten down that bolt all the way. Not that big of a deal since I didn't get the jackshaft or main shaft seal in my primary gasket kit so I was going to have to pull it again once the new seals arrived. In the mean time, it's not causing any problems.
