Just ordered the parts for mine from Chicago Harley, these are the parts I ordered

When I bought my 96 it already had the quick release installed. You will LOVE IT!!!!! The lights do have a quick release connector. The only bad thing is I don't have a way to keep my radio antenna hooked up, probable going to have to buy a second antenna and rig something up. Oh, I'm 99% sure that I have the Harley hardware.

Chuck I was thinking about what you had said in our other thread about the rear fender licence plate bar 53422-97 needing extensive modifications, obviously you have a birds eye veiw of the part seeing as you now have it in hand where as it'll be a few weeks before mine gets here but with the bar ends being the newer type flattened D type shape, wouldn't it slip into the round hole of the frame easily and then simple drill 2 holes through the round frame part lined up with the part double holes? Sorry for the errrr run on paragraph, I barely passed grammar.
