Default lights keep bolwing. help

its a 97 badboy, i went out to get some food and got back on the bike and i saw my tail light was out for the 3rd time this this year, pulled off and saw my head light was not on except for my running light ( the bike was made to go over to europe) was still on, about a mile down the road the head light came on, then 10 sec latter it was gone again. the bike starts up just fine and i tested the battery a month ago and it was fine. maby voltage reg, i am lost from hear and i am know sure how to test the voltage reg (but my acc lights still work fine so it might not be the voltage reg) i changed out the head light about 2 munths ago.

If the light is coming on and going off again I would suspect a connector.

A bad voltage regulator will not give you those symptoms.

Connector somewhere (there are many) or the ignition switch. When the headlight is off, try jiggling the ignition switch and see if it comes back on. Otherwise, take the headlight out and inspect the headlight plug first. If it is burnt or melted, there is one of your problems.

I had same issue on my eglide, was a short rubbing on the neck right behind the headlight.
