the guy has come down from 6.5K, drops it about 500/week. I'm thinking if he posts again at $4K I might get $3K in my pocket and go take a look.

Great story!
I just looked. He's at $4k Good luck

Rut Rohhh! Shouldn't have posted that. . . Someone might wind up snatching it up for $250 more than you were going to grab it for.

Yea, well.. if I get it, I get it, if not - no biggie. I got bikes :-)

Just sent him an email, we'll see what happens.

I'd jump on that......good thing I'm on the west coast.

Well I got around to checkig the stator........when I went to unplug the VR, one wire unplugged and the other was fried. Guess I'll order a stator and voltage regulator and start pulling the primary apart. It was leaking anyhow.

Congrats, I just picked up a 87 FLHS with 61K miles. Someone put WideGlide Forks on it and the motor needs some freshening up for $3500. It's a super nice ride for the price, I can't wait to get the bugs worked out of it. I've already got FLHS forks and fender on order. Good luck with the build, keep us posted!

Saving my pennies for now.......$250 for the gaskets, stator, and regulator from the moco. I've heard that the moco's parts are better than the aftermarket for longevity, but have no idea......any thoughts?
