Default Anybody using Spectro Oil Products

Not interested in starting an what's the best oil pissing contest. Just want to know what you think about Spectro. Need to change the oil and trans as well as primary.

I like Spectro Platinum for 6 Speed 75W140 GL5 for my 09 Ultra Tranny.. Also used it in my 08 EGS Tranny with Great Results ... For the Crankcase and Primary stayed with Amsoil 20W50 tried and proven for years on many Bikes Owned .. For my FXR EVO though, still stick with Amsoil 20W50 and Severe Gear 75W140 for the Tranny

I haven't used any of their oils, but their XL Motorcycle wash is good stuff. Great for spraying on the engine and under the bike to get the oil off and grime off. Spray it on hose it off careful not to get water in electrical system. I have 80 spoke wheels, front and back, and can not get my hand between the spokes to clean the hub. Spray it on and hose it off. On my pickups the brake dust accumulates on the wheels. Spray it on hose it off. For washing the bike, I use diluted 1 part cleaner to 3 parts water and put it in a spray bottle. Spray it on, wipe with a wet micro-fiber cloth. Then dry with a micro-fiber cloth.

I use spectro Platinum 6 speed in all three trans. After seeing how much easier mine are to shift even after 9-10 thousand miles between trans changes I've got 3 of my buddies using it now. Still use mobil 1 in the motor and primary.

They make BMW oil and Golden Spectro is one of the best.

IMHO Amsoil is the absolute best, but hi-$...but twice the distance/time.
A friend's large truck co yrs ago was talked into Amsoil by the owner of Amsoil and after some time everything was better for him, way less dollars in the long run in all aspects of the fleet.
In our situation the m/c motor oil can go into all 3 holes.
Amsoil invented synthetic oil yrs ago.

I'm not really a fan of "New fangled" things all of the time but I've had a bottle of 75-140W Spectro 6/speed on the shelf for awhile and just put it in. I don't know if it's better than RedLine or Amisoil but I noticed a big difference over the 90wt that was in the tranny. Shifts are smoother, less clunk, if it does not cause a leak I'll be happy with it..
