i read in american iron mag. that the twincam has too small valves for the engine and that the twincam motor runs out of steam too early because of this. donnie petersen said that the evo motor had exellent sized valves for the engine, also better flow so that the engine seems to pull better than the twincam.
All I know is I am happy with it. Yes she is noisier but much nicer. Once I figured out I had a vacuum leak for the stupid EPA petcock all is good. Bypassing that was so nice. I will also say that Dale Sanders who did my carb did such a good job. I have tried so hard to get this carb to caugh or hickup at any speed or any temp and it will not do it.
My Evo runs much better than my twin cam with the EV27 in her. I have gear driven cams in my twinkie (TW37) and sometimes wish I had bought an Evo bagger instead! Higher the revs, harder the Evo pulls!!
