what was the last year of evos with carburetors

Every Evo came with carbs. I "think" 95 or 96 was the first year fuel injection was an option.

 

The last year of the EVO was 2000. It was only put in one model. I believe it was the FXR4.

 

Last year that they put one in a new bike anyway. Evo is still a current motor and you can buy a brand new one from HD, along with other vendors.

They only dropped carbs on the twincams around 2004-ish, so reasonable to assume some Evos had carbs until they were dropped in in 1998 and 2000 on softtails.

 

The Carb was dropped on the 1998 Ultra model. Fuel Injection only.
I believe that FI was an option on other Touring models.
All other models had Carbs until the end of the EVO.

 

Here's mine......99 fxstc carburated.

 

The last year was 1999 and it was only available in the Softail model and CVO models as well (FXR2 and FXR3). All other models had the Twin-cam and this was also the 1st year for the Screaming Eagle CVO.
