If you go with a Jagg oil cooler then you can get an adapter that makes life one hell of a lot easier. I put a Jagg oil cooler and adapter on my '95 Heritage. It dropped the oil temperature about 50 degrees in any temp up to 100 and about 25 degrees over 100. Here is the link http://www.jagg.com/jagg/pages/filter-adapters.htm.

Either one will work but I found with the 4400 my oil filter rubbed on my voltage regulator plug. Which probably wouldn't hurt anything but I didn't like it. I called Jagg and got them to switch it out for the 4600. A friend of mine told me they liked the idea of it holding in the plug as a safety feature.

Here's the drawing from the book for a '93.
The line labeled "return from filter" is where the oil cooler goes. This is a metal line coming out of the oil filter housing which travels under the engine and then converts to a rubber hose which then goes to the oil tank. Remove this rubber hose and then route the hose from one side of the oil cooler to the metal line and the hose from the other side of your cooler to the tank. The hose from the metal line (from the oil filter) is looped over the back of the engine then down to the frame on the left side and forward to the oil cooler. The other end of the oil cooler routes down the right side of the frame and then up to the tank following roughly the same path as the original hose.
As you can see, it does make a mess of the hoses. If you can fit a oil filter attachment, this would be a much cleaner setup.
