O.T.

You hit the nail spot on Mr. grbrown...Everything cost a fortune in Norway. Thats why we love internett shopping.

You have to pay approx. USD 43.300 for an 2011 Dyna Street bob...Thats the same as a average income per year in Norway.
A rear belt replacement on a softail cost approx. USD 2000

Last news for the international buyers. Harley Davidson Corporation have now decided to stop the lekkage to Europe from 1. August. 2011. Only US credit card and adresses can be used to buy original HD parts and merchandice.

Those prices are insane! You should consider visiting a nearby European country for your spare parts. Last year I had a new belt supplied and fitted by a UK Harley dealer for approx USD700. A pair of pistons don't take up much space!

All the more reason to look at aftermarket parts. I live in a country outside the US also and though our costs are nowhere near as much as what you are listing, if the dealer wants to sell parts for twice what I can buy them for in the States, ship them individually and pay the duty, then the local dealer doesn't get my business. Especially when you consider that they are shipping bulk and I am shipping one or two items and have to pay shipping to my freight forwarder and then shipping to my country. If the MoCo is going to force you to buy from the local dealer and pay their ridiculous rates, it's time to buy elsewhere.
