Not sure if mentioned; the pesky tranny oil leak out of that main shaft seal/bushing behind the final drive front pulley. It will seem to be primary leaking as it's behind the inner primary case and drips to low spot on outer primary cover. Took 4 tries by 2 diff mechanics to get mine fixed.

Ride that EVO and have fun!!

I got a little concerned about the INA cam brg. and changed it out at 28,000 miles. It looked like new, but I am glad I did it just for the peace of mind, and I plan on keeping this bike for a long time. Other than that, it runs like new with no leaks anywhere, and I don't have to add oil between changes. I love my EVO.

This is why I prefer to do the work myself.

Smoke 'em if ya got 'em. These are two seasoned HD mechanics. First one who did my top end years ago started to decline due to personal issues. Second one didn't think the sleeve for the seal needed replaced and turned out it did. Plus once I pay for the job once it's then free until it's done right.

Not something I'm set up to deal with in my garage nor would I want to. Thankfully I make enough that I can afford a mechanic.

Hey Billy! The main issue is controling the grin that will seem never ending each time you ride. Ride safe my friend!

Thanks guys. I had my eye on a nice 95 Heritage Special but I didn't get to it in time. I'm keeping my eye out for another one.
