Default help me plan my air intake/carb project

I've got a '95 wide glide with the factory carb and a set of V&H big radius exhaust. Was putting some new control cables on yesterday and realized how crappy my air filter assembly looked, so i started looking around.

Plenty of recommendations for the SE and Big Sucker, these still the best all around out there? With these does the cover go back over to keep the rain out, or do I need a rain cover like the cone 90* style intakes use?

Also, anyone have any guesses on my Jets? I"ll be riding through the summer then putting a cam in it next year when I replace my bearing if that matters.

I only use Arlen Ness big sucker stakes, they are simple and bullet proof, they don't allow screws, nuts and bolts to be sucked into the carb bore like other aftermarkerkt intakes, also that stock cv carbon is a well engineered piece, and imo, is better than most aftermarket carbs, jet that bike 46 on the slow side and 175-180 on the main and enjoy.

I run a Mikuni HSR 42 and a Arlen Ness Big Sucker, I'm happy with combo, defiantly is more responsive than the stock set up.

Based on the info you gave I have different answers for jetting. If you live at sea level where its hot, I would use 48 slow and 180 main. If you lived higher up I would use 46 slow and 175 main. If you live in the mountains, 45 slow, 170 main.
