Help Please, looking for a gas cap. J&P does not carry a replacement cap for my bike This is the underside of it. If you have seen one or know who sells it please let me know.

How is that different than a conventional gas cap? Like, say, for the right side tank on a 1979 FLH? Show pics of the tank filler neck.

Thought it was but Ordered one from J&P and got some plastic crap (aircraft) with a plastic cam in it. Sent pics to them and they said they don't carry this style. It is a one of a kind aftermarket from a company that is out of business. Evidently this is the only one they built, lol. But they are say the flush style is only aircraft and the one they sent is the only type. Gotta love Tech Reps. (One also said it was a discontinued cap Indian used in the 40's) But here are the pics of the cap and the tank bung.

I have a 1977 Ford F-100 pickup that takes a cap made just like that. Try an auto parts store.

Reminds me of the one off my 1974 Dodge Dart too.

Ya, looks like a vented car gas cap. Take it (or the good one)to the local auto parts store and match it up. make sure you confirm the twist(left or right)

Might try that or do something custom with this one. It closes and seals just no lock or handle.

I was thinking it looked pretty much like a standard automotive type as well. Try a locking gas cap for a 1967 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup.

Found it. After hunting through thousands of web pages it was on an Australian Drag Specialties web site. Part # DS-390069 Dennis Kirk has it Part #H18241 in case it ever comes up again for someone else. $30.95 plis s&h.
