Default Fatboy fork seal replacement

OK I've got my frontend all torn apart and the forks are disassembled, cleaned and ready to go back together. Where is the best place to get a set of seals? AND since I have them all apart, should I do anything else to them. I have not checked at my local dealership for the seals yet, they ALWAYS tell me the same story; Any bike older than 10 years back the parts are obsolete, we don't have any and can't even order them!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I bought my fork seals, 96 Dyna, at the dealership, they had them in stock, while JP cycle
told me to wait 2 weeks. On top of this they were cheaper and not made in China.

Yeah, I guess I'll check tomorrow. Well the whole fork assembly is made in Japan anyway!!

When it comes to fork seals, on any brand bike, I have found that you cannot beat the OEM seals.

The seal size is 39-52-11, milimeters that is. Ariette makes very good fork seals. I always use them on all bikes I work on, especially on hi-tech sports bikes. Much better than OEM seals.

Look up on the web for a dealer of Ariette. Reference number for this size of fork seals is ARI.037. I think any motorcycle workshop working on sports bikes may be able to order them.

I've tried oem seals, leak proof seals from j&p and seals still go out, never heard of these Ariete seals before. Think I'll give them a shot. Good info.
