Default First fill-up now leaking at carb

Makes no sense...had the bike a couple weeks, I have had no leaks then today, I stopped and filled up with gas (haven't bought any since I had the bike) got back and started changing mufflers and gas is leaking from the carb...bad!

Totally agree. My bike had the same issue. Pulled the float, cleaned the needle, seat, bowl and adjusted the float. Problem solved. My problem was totally intermittent. Did it only once in a while. Now it doesn't do it EVER!

Try shutting the fuel off and and running the gas out of the bowl, should help.

No...haven't had a chance to work on it yet. I was in the middle of a pipe swap when the leakage started, so, I got the pipes buttoned up but haven't had the time to get back working on it.

Off subject but how's the weather in your neck of the woods?Sleet is piling up like snow here.

We've got about 3 inches of snow and freezing fog. They say another 3 inches overnight.

Glad I got to ride for a little while yesterday cause I will be snowbound here the next couple days. I have a step-side Chevy truck that gets stuck on wet grass, I won't even try it on icy roads.

Float/needle/seat is usually the culprit, however a plugged tank vent can also cause that problem, especially with a full tank.
