Default Where is the Primary Drian Plug?

I have this 95 flstn and looking at the service manual it has a nice arrow pointing to where the drain plug is but not a good picture of it. Is it the little screw that goes straight up into the primary case? What size is it I've tried everything I have without any luck if it is indeed the drain plug. Yes I tried the search without any luck. This shouldent' be this hard.

Pretend that the derby dover is a clock. The plug is between 5 and 6 o'clock, near the edge of the inner primary. Don't screw it back in too far, it's a tapered plug.

Yep,thats where I'd look,my Road King's in that area too.I have hex heads, stars, standard and metric so i always find something that works on the little bastards! Correct also on tightening, doesn't take much, just a little snug. After I chnge all my fliuds ,i get pretty **** about running my fingers over all the drain plugs for the first 5-6 times or more, when I ride to make sure nothing is dripping. After that i just check at least when I'm cleaning the bike.

what do you use to get it out? I've tried everything I have but it doesn't seem to be a good fit. I see where it's very small seems like a 3/16" Allen sort seems like it fits, but I'm worried about stripping it out .

Without crawling under my bike I believe its a 30 torx bit.

edit: Its a real good idea to wrap it a couple times with Teflon tape to help fight that urge to run it back in too far. At least that helped me.

Thank you all for the answers it just seems like it could be a little easier but I'm sure the engineers have it this way for a reason.

you buy a tube of pneumatic thread sealant,it's not permanent, spread it over the plug thread and it will never leak a drop of oil.I use it on all 3 holes.

As said DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN IT WHEN REINSTALLING. Screw it by hand and maybe go a 1/4 turn after it tightens up. I usually put some teflone paste or tape on it.

Went after the primary drain plug with my trusty T30 and it seems like it is stripped out, so I'm going to take it in and let the pros deal with it. That's one of the down sides to buying used but it's all good. Thank you for all your quick responses but I don't have what I need to drill it out and everything that goes with getting it right but the good news is that the previous owner must have change the primary oil.
