I had an 86' FXR lean and clean like that one with a 98" in it. I miss that bike.

"If the price quoted by Woodnbow is correct for the XL1200S inverted Showas, that's a hell of a deal for a very nice front suspension that just bolts on to the FXR frame."

Sorry to disappoint but that price is for the Sport model Sportster fork leg assemblies introduced in '96, they are a showa product as well, 39mm tubes fully adjustable damping/rebound and bolt right into the stock triple clamps... NOT the inverted showas, sorry for any confusion. They are a relatively good, cheap and easy solution to the wimpy stockers though..

I knew it sounded too good to be true. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

man i like those fxr's. i'd actually like to try to build something similar to the one in harley davidson/marlboro man.

hey you guys might know, i'm looking for an older harley. which years are to be avoided because of cases that seeped, or ones with inherent problems. i know that some of the amf years were good to avoid.

Has anyone had any luck mounting hard bags (not stock FXRT) to the FXR.
