Not trying to start a oil war but just wondering what your thoughts/experiences are with AMS oil.

 

SNAKE OIL !!!!!!!!!!!
Here is my cam I used amsoil from day one - 32K .I think it is a lace of luberecation.

 

Hundreds of people use amsoil, one failure doesn't prove anything.

 

Sorry about the cam, but if you do a search on this site, you will find 1,000 opinions about oil.


Me? I'm going from SYN3 to Red line next time around.

That's fighting talk! There is a serious risk of starting an oil war!

Take my advice and use what you like - just don't tell anyone - it's the only way to keep the fragile peace and quiet....

 

Well, one thing for sure, Amsoil did not keep it from happening. Maybe it would have happened sooner with dino. Who knows. I just changed out the cam brg. in my EVO at 27,000, and it still looked perfect. Nothing but Castrol GTX 20-50 dino used since new.

 

 

Amsoil makes a dino also. That was a Twinkie cam, more than likely the pump got some crud through it and it failed to supply enough oil to correctly lubricate the cam.

 

I get such a laugh out of this photo that it's almost good that we cover this again.
