Default Setting Pushrods

I'm going to sound like an idiot but here it goes. Just about got the motor back together just looking to set the pushrods. My manual has no info on this and im struggling to find how i should set them up. They are adjustable pushrods but not sure of what make (they were in bike already) I installed new vthunder lifters as well. Thanks for the help.

The setting is 0.100 inch. What you need to do is figure out how many turns per inch (TPI) your push rods have and then calculate how much to turn them for 1/10". There are various charts out on teh intr4w3bz, y0, that tell you how many flats for how many TPI, or you can calculate them yourself. There's some real good how-to sites. Do a search on the board here and you'll find some threads with links. Basically, plugs out, turn motor so lifter is on the bottom of the cam, expand out push rod to zero up and down play, expand out 1/10 more inch, lock down, let lifter bleed down until you can turn the push rod with your fingers, go to next push pushrod.

A thread pitch guage is a buck or so, or you get one free in a $8 HF tap and die set.

do not forget to lock them up after adjustment, don't ask me why I know! nightrider.com has good instructions, as well as, other sites.

Don't forget to pump the lifters up before installing pushrods Remove plugs /pushrods crank the engine over till you see oil coming thru the hyd lifter body's (could be alittle messy ) then proceed to adj pushrods
