Default Steering stop on 1984 FLHTC?

Where are the steering stops on a 1984 FLHTC? I dont have any on a bike I purchased earlier in the year. The PO put a shovelhead (I think) top triple clamp on the bike so it would allow him to run the large shovel headlight nacel. I love the look of the bike but Im thinking it eliminated the factory steering stop. Im used to custom bikes with internal stops or stock softail style of stops with the tab on the bottom of trees.

I believe that the same steering stop was used for quite a few years, anyone?

The steering stops are rubber donuts on the fork tubes between the upper and lower triple trees.

Lol. Those things allow u to really turn the bars. I was thinking of welding tabs on the lower trees and using one if the existing fairings mount holes in the neck and installing a bumper there. Thanks for the input.

They do indeed. Never had any trouble with too tight a turning radius but once I pulled the front end apart for service on a '93 FL and forgot to put the donuts on when I put it back together. The second teardown in one weekend wasn't as much fun... ;-)
