I've run the crank balancer on my '94 since '02. It works. Vibration is reduced by about half. It's still there, but manageable.
I went to it because the second remanufactured engine was MUCH more poorly balanced than the original engine. The Balance Masters balancer fixed that.

For those that truly enjoy numbing your hands and fingers on long trips then that's their choice, also no disrespect. If it wasn't an issue, they would have never came out with the twin, just my opinion. I really enjoy the bike now even more because the bike has 50% less vibes in the handle bars.

I guess each bike needs to fit the riders needs. If this product works-why not?

Rubber mount EVOs reduce the vibration moving through the frame. The FXST is supposed to be reminiscent of the older hardtail frame HDs, vibrating and riding like crap.
