Uncle G that is very encouraging. I sometimes worry about putting too many miles on, but to hear 195K shocked me. Are you the only owner? Can you briefly tell me what repairs you've had to do to your bike and at what intrevals? I'm pretty much a lone wolf with the evo I bought a couple years ago. Would be nice to get an idea of what the future mechanically may hold......sorry to sidetrack thread a bit.

Everything else is just minor stuff or normal wear items (tires, batteries, a fork seal last year, ignition switch-stuff like that).

That sounds pretty good....thanks for info. I bought my 95 garage queen 2 seasons ago with only 10k miles. Pushing 26k now with only minor maintenance. I bought it to ride it, but it did kinda bother me to put the miles on afterward.....she's so nice I was always thinking investment and resale value. But I enjoy the darn thing so much there's no turning back now.

The days when you could buy a Harley, ride it for a year and sell it for more than you paid for it are long gone. In the last 20 years, supply of new and used bikes caught up and passed the demand. This has driven the price down. You want an investment, buy stocks.
