put the 27 in 97 fatboy also have dyna single fire ignition,s&s super E , cycle shack turn out exhaust. did all myself except cam push rods. had independent shop do it . cam ,bearing ,gaskets,pushrods and labor was around 450.most riding is two up and yea iclosed the gap on them but you need inches to keep up with inches .

This thread caught my eye as i just acquired a 1996 Electra glide and looking at the cam upgrade as one way to improve MPGs, too. Mine is hanging out in the low to mid 30s.

but they don't specify any details on make of bearing (torrington is what is required) or the maker of the pushrods.

Sounds like a good deal but personally I am a skeptic when I don't know what brand of parts I am paying for. Cheap lifters can be a grenade when things go bad and GOOD lifters are still a personal opinion but whith a Harley - cheap isn't always better. The EV27 still gets a good price on the market, email him and see if he will list manufactures of the parts, might turn out to be a great deal.
You will need a tuning device if you have the MM efi or some carb work after the cam change, some hidden costs if you have efi.
