Default 93 flhs front suspension

Im looking to get rid of the air assist on the front of my 93 flhs. Can I do this by just changing the springs or is there more to do? I've never worked on my suspension and could use some help. Thanks guys.

I don't believe my anti-dive system has worked since 1994 (I'm the original owner of my 93 FLHS).

So why do you want to eliminate it? There really aren't a lot of parts. The air is stored in the handlebars, there is a solenoid inside the instrument cluster, and a bit of tubing/piping. Everything is inside the instrument cluster.

So I can jusy lose the air parts and it should be fine? I want to change the handlebars and I put a roadking nacelle on the front. It all fits but it's kinda close. The nacelle scrapes the solenoid.

I believe I have '0' pressure in my anti-dive right now. Probably has been that way for the last 10 or so years. I stopped adjusting the air pressure in it long ago. Bike rides fine like it is. If you look at the anti-dive system, it only functions when you activate the brakes. Which activates the solenoid to put whatever air pressure is stored in the handlebars into the forks.

If you need to remove the solenoid, IIRC, you've got a couple fittings that go to the top of the forks. I would probably cap them, as there might be a possibilty of fork oil coming out. But I'm not certain, as it's been a looooooong time (2005) since I looked into the instrument cluster.

The definitive 'fix' would be to disassemble the forks and install the Progressive springs. If I ever get motivated, I'll do that and have the lowers chromed.
