Default 93 evo fatboy build clutch question?

i have a 93 fatboy with the 1340 evo. i have a full stage one kit includeing a new single fire ignition setup i just put in a few days ago. On backorder i have waiting to come in a S&S 80 inch FLSS hot set up kit wich includes:

10:2:1 Pistons
adjustable pushrods
New heads
561 Cam
HL2T kit ?
Super E carb

with all of this done to the bike, should i upgrade my clutch? i was going to upgrade it to a new one, or just replace it all together with a rivera promo 11mm belt kit. which one would be better to go with? I have all winter to work on it, so getting the money is not a big issue, but i dont want to spend alot of money on a clutch at the same time. I also might have to get the cylinders miked and bored, i have some smoke coming from the exhaust so i think my rings on the pistons are shot, it leeks oil. i had to buy a kit to recycle it back into the engine.

I have a 1990 FLHS with an S&S 107 in it, just over 100HP/TQ at the back wheel. My clutch is the original stock one, with a Barnett clutch spring to beef it up a little. No need to do any more than that IMHO!

I also replaced the primary chain and crank sprocket, because they were showing signs of wear, but that was all.

I would advise you to get rid of the spring plate in the clutch. They will come apart and cause serious problems. Do a search for intermittent clutch release problems.

Though I have never done it since I'm relatively stock, my Indy insists if you do what your doing that adding the extra clutch plate would be advisable. I am not speaking from experience, simply telling you what I was told. Its supposed to be very easy and cheap.

You can buy a clutch kit with the extra plates to eliminate the spring plate. I had problems with the clutch adjustment and shifting problems. Took the bike to a dealer. Worked better for a while. Problem came back even worse. Finally found a thread on here that described my problem exactly. Ordered a kit from energyone clutches with the extra plates and a compression tool needed to take the plates out. Spring plate rivets were falling out, spacers falling out, and groove cut into the clutch drum. Should have bought the tool sooner and checked it for myself. 96 evo with a 96 ci S&S kit, 86000 mi.
