Default Can't adjust slack out of clutch cable after installing ultima open primary

So i have been installing an Ultima 3'' open primary on my 99 heritage springer and I am stuck on the clutch install. I can't seem to be able to get the slack out of the clutch cable.if any one else has had this problem please let me know what you did to fix it.

Do you have all the pieces/correct pieces of the clutch release rod installed?? Did the cable come unhooked??? Is the adjuster screw the correct one??Those are the most common problems. Hope this helps.

I think I found one of the problems. The threads in the pressure plate are all stripped out. This better be warrintied seeing how I havn't even started the bike up yet.

Ultima is great with their warranties. Just calmly tell them what the problem is.

I got another problem. The Stock kickstand is hidden under the belt drive. Can anyone tell me what would be a good replacement kickstand to install.

Search the internet, there are some bolt-on pieces that mey help, or there are some weld on ones. If you have problems finding them post another comment and we will try to find some for you to look at.

HD offers a clamp on jiffy stand extender, at least they used to. I'm guessing that the problem is that you can't find the kick stand with your foot?

I built a hardtail bobber with the Ultima 127 and fat belt and noticed the same deal. I can boot heel the kickstand up without much trouble, I just make sure the motor is off when I reach down to pull it back out.

www.jpcycles.com has kickstand and extender kits. You can also chat online with a Harley Tech who could help you find it.
