We had the same problem my '92 Sporty. Had to drop the engine in the frame. What a major league PIA.

I won!!!!!! Took me 15 min to get top rocker cover back in, and another 15 min to get gaskets lined up and allen bolts tightened down. The worst part at the end was getting the front motor mount back on, could not get bolts and holes lined up, fought with that for 1/2 hr. The vibration is less but still there at a lower RPM, when up to speed in a gear it is smooth, I guess that's how it's supposed to feel.

I thought the rear mount is just 2 bolts through the tranny.

Why should I replace the rear one? I would like to get a modified front mount so I can lower the engine a little, just a 1/4" would help the vibration. But, seriously, tell me why the rear. The rear rubber mount is near the swingarm pivot, the 2 bolts by the tranny will get the engine out, but tranny will still stay in.

That "little vibration " is usually caused by a bad rear vibration isolator !
