Default Battery Load ?

How low should a battery go when starting? Mine is hitting 11.2-11.3 volts with the starter engaged. Sitting all night with no charger its at 12.8 volts. It starts right up , but the memory in the radio is erasing. The battery is 3rd season. It is a crappy Interstart too. I run a battery tender all the time so I know its charged. What everyones opnion on the best Battery and where to buy it? Thanks

11.x Volts when cranking is fine. I don't know about your radio memory. There is probably a separate fuse in that circuit. I would check that fuse, and your radio might be going out as well.

I have a 1 year old Genuine H.D. battery, rumored to by made by Dekka, but I'm not too happy with it. I think the next battery I get will likely be a "premium" aftermarket sealed lead acid battery.

Thank you Dr. I have a older Clarion in the bike right now. With the factory radio if it erased itself it would usually be a sign of battery time. When I load tested it I thought 11+ volts under load was good. Thanks.
