Was wondering what kind of oil pressure everyone with a evo was getting...I know that the flow is more important...Myself hitting the interstate about 70 to 80 mph,psi may be 8 to 12 lbs.of psi @ 100 degrees...I'm sure its just the heat doing this...
Thanks, thinking its about to change the oil ,I'm sure it will help..Bout the same at idle as yours, but 70 to 75 it runs between 9 to 15 with stock oil pump..By the way all that helped with the burning up stator problem that I had it was the rotor...Got 500 miles on it no problem so far...Always something...

May be the El Cheapo oil pressure gauge I have on Bertha, but it always reads around 15-20 at idle, and about 25-30 at higher RPMS. From what I've read, I guess that's OK.
Glad to hear you fixed your problem with burning up stators. What was the problem with the rotor?
It was the wrong rotor,Some said I could run a 45 amp rotor with a 38 amp stator, this coming from a bike shop...Didnt work for me,maybe some have been able to do it..

on getting that fixed. I was thinking that mismatched rotor would be a problem but someone else had already mentioned it. All I have on my '91 FLHS is oil "idiot" light that goes off after start up. Have 65k miles; new top end at about 48k and never had oil pressure issues. Oil tank cap does pop out and hang there occasionally only on start up so I have to remember to reach down and check it each time. After I'm up and running it never pops out.
