Oil Temp Gauge in 1998 FLTRI

Can anyone lead me in a direction as to how to put a fairing mounted temp gauge in a 1998 Road Glide? I know that I would need a gauge, and a sending unit, but where might I hook it into?

don't know if this might help... it's the installation procedure of a 6 gauge Dakota digital conversion for a 96-2003 dresser/bagger
