what oil do you use
man i know this has been beat to death. have read so much about this i am confused. have always used harley products , what are my options?

As long as it's a name brand 20w50, you'll be alright, syn or dino. I use Kendall myself.

I run Castrol GTX 20-50 in mine. I ran HD 360 20-50 dino in my Sporty for 23 years, and its good also. I love oil threads.

Mobil 15w50 in engine, primary fluids in the primary and 75w140 Walmart SYN gear oil.

Here we go again...
Currently running:
Mobil 1 Syn 20W-50 in engine
Mobil 1 Syn ATF in primary
Mobil 1 Syn 75W-140 Gear Lube in tranny
Have run AMSOil MCV 20W-50 in all three, and H-D 20W-50 (both dino and syn at different times) in the engine.

Whatever is in the shop at time. I change the oil so often it really doesn't matter what brand I use. Viscosity is the only determing factor to me. I never use synthetic. Too expensive for the short period of time it is in my engine.
