My new 1999 FXR2
#3
you're gonna love that bike. I picked mine up 2 years ago with 6800 miles on it and immediately returned it back to stock condition. It's an incredibly sweet ride and my favorite for around town and light touring. PLEASE don't modify it too much. There are so few of these bikes out there and they deserve to be kept as close to stock as possible. There are plenty of other FXR's out there to hack up and "customize" that don't have the history of the FXR2
Enjoy it. You made a smart purchase.

Congrats! I bought mine new in 1999 and still have it, will NEVER let it go. Great bike, one of the best frames ever made. I added a chrome 21" 80 spoke wheel and a Corbin saddle. By the way, noticed the chrome tank strip is missing the rubber trim that runs completely around the console. You might still be able to get it but parts are now extremely hard to obtain at Dealers. They only made 600 Arresting Red FXR2s and 300 Blue. I have NEVER EVER seen a Blue one anywhere and heard they were all exported overseas. Curious as to where you are located as I think I saw this bike for sale not long ago in Indiana.
