Default vance and hines short shots have 02 sensor holes...

bought drag specialties plugs to fill the holes, don't fit. grrr...looked at vance and hines website...no help there either...went to home depot, ace hardware...no plugs that fit...I believe there compression threads because at the hardware store we found things that seem to fit, but were not plugs of course. any body have a similar problem before and could help? I really have run out of ideas. any help here would be GREATLY appreciated. thanks in advance.

call V&H, and tell them your problem. Otherwise, find out what the thread pitch and diameter is and look at mcmaster-carr or Grainger. Google them.

If nothing else, get the compression fitting you mentioned, use a short piece of copper tube, squeeze the end closed and solder it. Ugly, but it would get you running.

If it's a standard O2 sensor bung, then that's 18x1.5mm, if I recall (off the top of my head). It's the same TP as the old style large spark plugs as found on tractors and HD flatheads. People get plugs from NAPA, but I bought mine from DIYAutoTune.com. I have those in the '07 OEM exhaust system on my bike.

Yes, if they're 18mm you can get them at NAPA Auto parts...that's where I got mine.

Don't forget, chrome can take up any tolerance in the thread, you may have to chase the threads. They are 18 MM threads.

Good point. You should be able to get an 18mm thread chasing tap at an auto store, then the plugs you have might work!

Yes, the old double ended spark plug thread chaser available at autoparts stores has that thread on the big end. 18x1.5mm taps are otherwise kinda hard to come by.
