Signs of wheel bearing failure?

And use Genuine H.D. wheel bearing grease. We can get the part number for you if you need it.

ABSOLUTELY! P/N is 99855-89. It's a cobalt blue in color.. accept no substitutes!

I have been using plain old Valvoline wheel brg. grease for the last 25 years without a problem. Is that a no no? I do repack them regularly. Is HD grease something special?

This is an interesting topic and just so happens I will be replacing rear brakes and checking rear wheel bearings, question , does the seal usually pop out so to be reused ? I plan on getting new bearing if the bearings and or races look worn at all and we have a bearing shop here, the bearings I know I can get but does anyone have the seal number I will be asking for if I need it?

Seals are not reusable. They are only a couple bucks, even at the dealer. Or you can bring the old seal to an auto parts store or bearing supply shop and they will match it.
