it can be. you need to make a fixture to press the the shifter paw off the pin and press the new shifter paw on. Or you need to pull out the trap door to the tranny. bigger job. heave to remove outer and inner primary.
yes it is in top top of the tranny. shaft that goes in is where the shifter attaches. i could not get the paw out easy. not enough clearence inside the tranny case.
