You may try some of that brown flex magnet and cut it to fit through the hole,
it helps if you tape all but the end so as not to stick to the flywheels, count
how many you lost.

The 86 still had the torrington brg. didn't it? Should have a bunch of rollers. If you get a new torrington, you should be able to count the rollers in it to compare to what you have found. Good luck.

I live in florida and Advanced auto has the blind hole pullers to rent for free . Just a credit card deopsit
