Default something to check

started having problems with my starter not doing anything a couple days ago. i mean it did nothing. finally i took the seat off and could hear the relay click, checked voltage to it and it was getting 12v and putting out 12v. it would start great then all of the sudden do nothing. finally it started and i noticed a little puff of smoke coming out where the starter brush cap is attached. figure the starter was fried. pulled it out and begin taking it apart when i noticed the two screws that go through the cap and hold the brush holder were pretty loose, took it apart anyway and everything looked great so put it back together and also tighten the two end screws. well its worked perfect sense. just thought id mention it. something else to check.

It's great when things work out like that! Could have been a horror to sort, or a new starter.
