hey all. I have a 98 superglide that I just installed mini apes on. With some rerouting and a tweak here and there I got all my cables and brake line to fit, but in the process I realized how tired and beat up my stock throttle cables are. I am going to replace them but I want to get longer than stock cables. Maybe cables for a wide glide would be a good length?

Anyone know what length I need?

I think the stock length for a wide glide is like 30" (measuring just the black plastic part)...

 

Call Barnett and tell them what you just told us. They make all kinds of high quality cables and will know the stock length as well as the "over length" cable that will work best for your scooter.

 

Thanks for the replies. I wasn't home to measure them and I wanted to stop and pick up the cables I needed on the way home. I have a dealer near me so I was able to stop in and get some that are 4 inches or so longer than stock.

I think the parts guy said stock is 32.5 IIRC.
