Default Update on my "burnt" baby now named Phoenix.

Well, it has been a VERY busy 3 weeks!!!! I have been accumulating parts since the fire (again, BIG thanks to sprint12!!!) I got it out of storage and the indy removed the engine and tranny, found a crack in the lip that the primary seals to, had that welded, stripped and cleaned the rest of the bike, had the frame and the color panels painted, sanded and polished the alum. pieces, and now started reassembly.

Here it is before the fire:

Here it is after the fire:

Here it is 3 weeks ago:

My friend Ron and his dog Max polishing shiny parts,
some from the burnt bike and a lot of replacement pieces:

Here is the frame painted:

Here is the fairing being taped off for flames, We did
ghost flame of Candy Apple Red with Effects glitter on
Candy Apple Red.. they show in the sun but otherwise
are almost invisible:

Here it is today:

The progress has been GREAT, gives me hope that it may see daylight this summer. Yup, that is the $279 on sale Harbor Freight lift, sure beats standing on your head for an older fat guy!!

Ther is an album on Photobucket at http://s729.photobucket.com/albums/w...build%20album/
that has 70+ pictures so far. If you hit the slideshow button on the upper right it will take you thru it.

I am getting to know my bike!!!

Mine are really "ghosty", I had to get a professional to take them with some kind of a filter in order to get them to show in a photo. I like what you are doing, I was going to go the red route, but changed my mind at the last minute.
