Thanks for the encouragement, it is a long haul but it will be worth it. The pace will probably slow a little for a while till the motor is done and the motor/tranny are back in. gearheadmb1, I have managed the NAPA store since '94 and it's been a good job. I do REALLY like the friendly, supportive help you guys have been. Hack has sent me some wiring diagrams to help me with the cruise. It will take a while to sort the wiring out with adding the cruise and hooking up the hand controlls to the stereo. I plan to start on the wiring Mon night.

This is a great story. We shared your pain at the time of the fire and congratulate you on making such impressive progress. Well done and we look forward to the moment when she fires up for the first time.

Great Job! and thanks for the pics.

I've a 1990 Glide, and only rode it for 8 miles before the clutch gave out.

I decided on a full stripdown (hopefully before the riding season starts), and get my frame swingarm and 22 other bits back from the powder coaters at the weekend.

I just got one of my heads back after having a broken aircleaner bolt removed, the wheels came back monday.

I can't wait to get to start to rebuild, I'm a few days behind you, and like you have been polishing and cleaning.

Keep the pics coming.

Cheers....... Paul.
