Hi, new member here! I got a '90 electraglide classic w/80000 on it! The motor has a crack on the case behind the oil pump. Also when first fired up it pours oil out of air breather, but stops when running for a min. The motor runs really good, we siliconed the crack as a quick fix and ran the **** out of it for a couple weeks, and it ran great the whole time, except for the oil out the breather. Any suggestions as to why or how the case would crack there?

They had some case problems back around that time,something to do with bad castings if i remember correctley...Seems to me it 90-91 yr models.

 

Yep, they had some case problems. The oil out of the breather is a "sumping" problem.

 

You need to repair the check ball/seat in the oil pump to stop the sumping.
