Default Reuseable Oil Filter....Bunk?

Anyone have any experience with these? I´m skeptical and won´t experiment with something so critical. Thanks

Wow, a mircronic filter for Eco and Twin Cam, and it increases horsepower by 3-5 percent... What is an Eco? What the hell is mirconic?... Junk

There are cleanable oil filters available, but a well made unit will cost quite a bit more than 9 bucks.

Wix, HD, Purolator, Perform, K&N and a few others sell great spin on oil filters, no muss,no fuss...I hate cleanable or cartridge type filters, they are a PITA.

just pointing out that it's not actually on sale for $9

AND...there have been several threads on reusable filters, including the possibly questionable ones sold on ebay.

I posted this here in the EVO section because there are some experienced people here and because filtering requirements are different for EVOs vs twinkies. I asked for experience, not opinions, but you are still welcome to them. AND, I did do the search. Sounds like the people with experience like these things.

Jeez, excuse me... But you posted the link to the advertisement that is so poorly written it is laughable.

It would not matter to me if it were listed a 99 dollars or 9 cents. The advertisement is ridiculous, they didn`t even spell Evo correctly, and their claim of 3-5% horsepower increase is nuts...

Mirconic? What is that?

A half inch drive for an oil filter? I guess that way you can get your 1/2 inch breaker bar on it and really get it tight so it doesn`t fall off.

Would you buy an oil filter for your Evo that came in a box that said "Fits Eco engine"?

But don`t let me talk you out of it...I think you should buy it...

Under five bucks for a Genuine Toyota filter, which is even black and about the best you can buy. I consider the WIX filters top notch as well. I wouldn't put crap like that eBay stuff on my bikes.
