question for engine builders
ok, forget what manufacturers say or recommend certain camshafts for, im building a 10.25 to 1 80 inch evo for a guy, this motor is in a bagger, im not a woods fan by any means, but he is considering a w6, I like andrews grinds, but at that compression, its to much for a 27, so how do you think a 46 would fare in that bike with a 3.37 gearing. Anyone else ever try this ?? thanks chad

Im running a andrews ev51 in my bagger, works great.Good flat tq curve from 2600 to redline.Same for thr Hp.Straight climb to redline.Gotta have a good pipe though.EV27 wouldnt work to good with CR.I also am no fan of woods.Ramps are to sharp, and way to noisey....Ill try and get a copy of the dyno sheet up when the mailman brings me printer.

Just went and looked at the specs on the 46,I think it would do ok.It would probably build a little more TQ than the 51,and would be an easier install.I did put springs in with 51 but didnt have to do anything else for clearance.I think you/he would be happy with either on of these two.

10.5:1,...85hp-85TQ...Everyday riding setup...Did get 93ftlb and 87Hp playing with disc, timing, etc..But didnt like the curve so much,At 85/85 its a good flat tq curve from 2600-6500.It pulls great.Itll whellie in 2nd gear with me and the ole lady on it.
