Default Cam question.

Got a line on an Andrews cam marked ED-35. I want to pop it into my 88 evo 80 ci stock engine this winter. I cant dig up spec's on this cam but wondering if it's a step up from stock or am I building a rocket?? I just need a lil more snot out of the hole. Bottom end is lazy until I hit 2300 rpm than I have good throttle response as it sits right nowIf this cam will work, Do I need anything else like lifters, push rods etc to complete the job?
Thanks!
Hatch.

It's probably an EV-35? You can find the specs here:
http://www.andrewsproducts.com/PDF_files/CamEV80.pdf

And looking at this years price list it looks like that cam isn't offered any longer.

I'll let the guys that know these things inside and out lay out the details but I think an EV-13 or EV-27 from Andrews or W-6 from Bob Wood would be better choices in your bagger.

Adjustable pushrods while you have it apart will save you some work in the future.

i agree, the EV 35 is really for lighter bikes with the power more in mid upper ranges.S&S .520 is a good torque, low end cam too

Default to answer your other questions...

If you've got over 35,000 or so I'd do the lifters at the same time.

When doing a camshaft, lifters are a must, if you havent bought that cam yet, check out the vthunder line up from comp, these cams make great hp and are quiet unlike the andrews grind cams. chad.

I can attest to the V-Thunder cams as gsxrboy96 said...
Great power, and suprisingly quiet....
+1 on lifters need to be changed, as well....good advice.
