Question ignition coil

Is the stock coil a single fire or duel? I want to install a Dyna 2000p ignition module and coil on my '98 Superglide but don't know which coil to get.

You need single fire coil. Nothing wrong with the Ultima/Dyna module (it is made by Dynatek), but the coil and wires that come with the kit are made in China. I had a Crane single fire sitting around so I used it instead. Would have just bought the module only if I had known. Module works great.

Stock coil is dual fire. It will work with the Dyna module, but you will not be able to use the single fire mode. You would connect the blue wire to the (-) side of the coil and disregard the pink wire.

If you're looking at pictures, dual fire coils have only 2 screw terminal posts, single fire coils have 3 screw terminal posts. And just so you know, a single fire coil can be operated in dual fire mode but not vice-versa...
