Tough situation facing two moves if you downsize now for five years. These darn Counties are out of hand with their taxes, and even over 65y/o the cap is a joke, even in Texas.

Hi Every one !
i am new here to the Evo section, i just got a new to me vintage FXSB Low Rider this last Nov. & she already under construction ! i am not building any thing custom, just putting her back to stock !!

this is the Harley i should have bought 38 years ago ! now that i've had a chance to ride & own every thing from a 41 knuck, 2 Pans & 2 shovels, i am back to square 1 with my 2nd Evo !

i have replaced all the cheep aftermarket chrome parts on the Motor & chassis & will be getting some more OEM NOS dash parts soon , besides the paint she's just about done !

heres what i started with !

turned out that all the chrome parts were "no name" brand !

& here is the Motor back to stock with H-D natural finished aluminum rocker covers ,lifter blocks & cam cover ! & the original 1985 Keihin carb !

& here she is just waiting on an OEM front master cylinder & OEM mufflers, the black ones are just for mock up . . .

& here is what i'll be putting on her very soon ! i live in Germany & my painter will be shipping these tins back to me in Jan.

My friend Mike DiPreta of Stamford CT. did an outstanding job ! thanks Mike !

& theses are the 1985 OEM NOS tank emblems ill be putting on the tanks when i get them back !

Wow ! Mike sent me a photo of the tank in the sun light ! cant wait to put this on my machine !

Hey guys! Long time no visit. My girl has been laying in the corner too long. A fresh battery is coming soon. Glad to still see all the Evo love.

All looks great but why would you put the breather back through the carb..

Also would be nice to see your own thread on all this.. Looks great...

Hello every one,
to anybody interested i did start my own thread " Troys 1985 FXSB Low Rider "

to : 98hotrodfatboy ,
thank you for the complement, even though i am returning this machine back to stock ,the breather will just vent out the breather tube/hose to the open air !
not to worry , this motor dose not puke oil on the ground ! only on first start up after sitting 4 to 6 months no start , & so far ive not let it go more than 2 weeks sitting , so i think by spring time when i plan to have her finished there will be no issues !

up-date on my paint set, all the parts (4 boxes) are here in Germany going through Customs ! i am hopping ill get them within the next 2 weeks !
