A few weeks back, a friend and riding buddy suddenly passed away at 39 years young, he had an extended trucking and riding family, this was his one last ride, RIP Johnathan aka “ Smooth Criminal”

Amen, For the wages of sin is death, physical death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. The gift of God is eternal life. Not a reward for good behavior, but a free gift. Paid in full by the giver.

That was awesome. I wish they could have gotten a drone view that could show the length of it, hard to tell the scale of it from close up shots, just that it was a bigger group of trucks than I've ever seen on the road. Man has a lot of love and respect to get a goodbye like that. Must have been a great guy to have as a friend.

Day 15 with no power, I think it’s close to being restored, maybe today,,, I hope, sick of hearing generators.
Cell and internet service sporadic.
Home and shop repairs 98% complete.

Had to take a ride towards NOLA yesterday, we got hit pretty hard with Ida, but just about 10 miles to the east got it worst, lucky it turned slightly east right before it got to us.

Never been through a Hurricane, but I experienced half a dozen Typhoons so I feel for ya.

That was really some nasty weather, glad that ya made it through as well as ya did

At one time or another we all experience a major reaction from mother nature.. It is the one catastrophe that brings us all together.. Hopefully the end is in sight and you all can continue on.. Good luck man..

On 9/20 I went for a reevaluation. They did all sorts of measurements using tape measures and protractors as wel, as flexibility and strength tests. At the start of this, my grip on the injured hand was pathetic. I forgot what the actual number was. When they tested me this time, it was 75 pounds which is a huge improvement. Bottom line is I have been released from occupational therapy.

On 9/25 I went see Collective Soul at the Golden Nugget casino in Lake Charles Louisiana. They were great. They sounded better than they sound on the studio albums. Lots of positive vibes. I had a great time and paid very little for a great seat. This band is very underrated. If they come through your area, go see them.
