Finally got a detailed quote from the contractor including a ten year warranty. Total price is five thousand cash. Initially he wanted sixty three hundred. He is going to do it Tuesday. I think if it was just a simple slab, it would be too much money. I think the extra work is what has it a bit more expensive than what I would like.

Approx 234 sq ft overlay
Approx 315 sq ft parking pad

Overlay
Raise elevation; drill approx every 18 inches; install 3/8 rebar dowels & step ever & tie into wire mat; apply 6 mil visqueen vapor barrier

Parking
Degrass & grade out for 5 inches of concrete; fix foundation rut; laser level forms to ensure proper water flow; install 10 gage wire mats; dig perimeter shovel footing; pour 3000 PSI mix; cut expansion joints on 12ft centers

Coffee and cake for everyone..

I finally got out for a ride yesterday (on the twinkie, still wrapping up some odds and end on the evo). It was also Mrs flhchaz' first ride on roads and not practicing in a parking lot on her freshly lowered xl883l. I think I was more nervous than she was. She did very well, accept for a slight mishap in a gas station parking lot which will require a new rear turn signal. But all is well.

Cool

Coffee and cake - yummy. We had visitors a few days ago and Mrs B made a scrumptious coffee-flavoured cake. I was lucky to get a piece.....

Mrs Chaz's Low is very similar to Mrs B's - good looking bikes. Love Corbin seats, but Mrs B isn't prepared for us to spend out on one!

Fortunately for us, the bike came with the Corbin seat.
