Peace and Quiet with an Evo!

Not sure on the prices of adding the patio but I do know to put a skim coat on top of an existing patio to slope it away for drainage really ain't the best thing to do. That's going to end up flaking on you over time. I know there's guys out there that'll actually float the whole deck up by putting like a foam or slurry or something underneath it. They pump it in underneath which raises it. That's what I've heard that they do.. keep shopping around.. never go with the first guy...

As for quotes, I was taught to get at least three quotes, preferably five: reject the highest and lowest and weigh up the other three. That may be a bit of overkill here, but it is certainly wise to get a couple more.

Just been shopping. Yeah, I know, but sometimes a chap has to do what a chap has to do. Bought us a couple of new travel mugs by 'aladdin', with sealing lids - designed in Seattle USA! You can guess where they are actually made, but thought I would lay a claim to supporting US industry on a fresh front. I got the very last mauve one in the whole wide world for Mrs B - well in that shop, at least.
Driving back home with my prizes, the driver's door mirror glass fell off - eh?! Has never happened to me before, in over 50 years of driving/riding. Watched in the other mirror as it smashed into umpteen pieces on the road! VW quality has plainly gone down hill. Something else to sort out and pay for......

I managed to knock the right side mirror off a VW years ago by running it against a traffic cone, but that wasn't VW's fault.
Finally popped my 2018 Evo cherry this morning. I put the FLHTC away in my father in law's storage building last winter to free room in the garage for the Sporty project. I intended to take my maintenance charger over there at the same time, but I forgot it. With all the goings on with the project, I had never gotten around to that ever since.
Yesterday was pretty nice, so I ran down there with the charger, hoping I wouldn't need it. It was soooo close to starting! The lights came on good and bright, it showed almost 11V on the gauge, and the clock was still on time, but just not enough juice to turn it over more than once.
Hooked up the charger and went back this morning. Fired right up. Yippee!
A bit brisk riding into the shop this morning, but the afternoon is looking promising!
Minor bit of bad news. My powdercoat guys are slammed, and the Sporty frame isn't going to be ready until Tuesday. Damn. Now what am I supposed to do all weekend?!?

A little silicon glue and it's been fine ever since.
