Oh and the concert was pretty damn good last night.
Don Felder played most of the more rock Eagles hits. The backing band he assembled was pretty solid.
REO Speedwagon was ok. Musically, they sounded great, but their stage presence made it obvious why they are an opening act and not a headliner.
Styx was phenomenal. They played like they were in their prime. Lots of energy and huge stage presence. They sounded better than they do on their albums.
Whatever you think of their albums, go see Styx regardless. It is a lot more rock and roll guitar and showmanship than what would be expected. I think even people that are not fans would enjoy it.
Oh, and Tommy Shaw remembered me and pointed me out.
They have a new album out. I don't care for most of it, but a song on it called Radio Silence sounds like it could have been in their Grand Illusion album long ago, and that's a good thing.
